Here are some guidelines to follow when sending Email to Valley Steam Pediatrics:
Never ask for emergency or urgent medical advice through Email. Although we try to answer your question promptly, urgent questions or emergencies should be handled by calling the office at (516) 825-3030, or going to the emergency room when appropriate. It is appropriate to ask medical questions via Email if the response can wait 1-7 days.
Always include your name and the name of your child in your Email message.
Confidentiality of any Email message is not assured. Due to the state of technology, Email cannot yet be considered private or confidential. We reserve the right to have our staff view and handle all Email messages. Private communication should also be conducted by phone.
Medical advice will be given to established patients only. New patients may inquire as to the workings of the office, or office hours only.
Email is not to be used to schedule or cancel appointments within 7 days. You may request the receptionist to call you about a future appointment if it is more than one week away. Please be sure to include your phone number in your message.
